[Devving Intensifies]

Alright! A few months ago we sat down and told you a little about "Promised The Future", our Sci-fy political VN we are working on. I'd like to announce this: We're still doing it! We've had some art done for the characters, we've had some progress on the common route, and a few scenes written for one of the heroine paths. Now you may not think that it's much progress, but honestly, the fact that were still going is a big deal. We continued the developing process well into this new year and started going!

Our talented musician has been hard at work making melodies and tracks, and making it generally a lot easier on us there. Our artists disappeared. Seriously, this happens a lot. We think everything is fine, they are happy, they're giving us great art, and suddenly they are gone. We quickly found a new artist, and we are really happy again, let's just hope that another disappearance is in our future. Meanwhile, we writers are probably the biggest problem. Between busy schedules and motivation were at a crawl, no worries we're working on it, and we're hoping to be going strong here soon.

Hopefully we'll not only be able to give you some official art, but maybe a taste of a track, and a blurb of writing here and there. See you next time!

Happy New Year From Arrival Studios

Happy New Year! It's Day one of 2014 and since we last remembered this existed it's been over half a year with not much but grim news to report.

That is changing, we hope, as we've lost members to the void, and yet still maintain our resolve to do what we can to bring the world a Visual Novel worth reading. A visual novel worth writing for!

Last time, if anyone read the only blog entry, we spoke about Saint Nic's, which at the time was more of an idea than anything else, and sadly that idea was crushed when we finally admitted to ourselves that it was basically a rip off of X-men no matter how hard we tried to spin it.

We've got an official site, though with the holidays, several members taking an unannounced leave of absence, and working mostly in shared folders in Google Drive it's not as active as we'd like it to be. None the less, should someone stumble upon us and become interested, our site is simply: www.arrivalstudios.org and is available for you to view information, and if you create an account, we'd be more than happy to answer questions and talk with potential fans (I know I would at least.)

In news, we have, as I already stated, abandoned Saint Nic's, but have picked up a new idea, ironed out the majority of it's edges and creases, and are very happy to report that the development is almost finished, and the writing and the art can begin soon with full production. Our writers are working on outlines for their character paths, and getting prepared to start writing the common route now. It's called "Promised The Future" and is a more sci-fy political based VN with six romance-able heroines, and an all over fun cast of colorful characters!

Besides this, we hope you check us out, and here's to a new year where we will tirelessly struggle to give you, the world, something worth reading. We hope your new year will be pleasant and enjoyable, and were excited to see how it all pans out.

First Entry, Third Attempt

Welcome one and all to the first ever post devblog for our third attempt at a Visual Novel Studio!
Welcome to Arrival Studios DevBlog!

“Wow, that sounds sad,” you might be thinking, but worry not!
Every project should have its ups and downs; its comings and goings.
After all, who would take “GreatVNBoogaloo” as a serious name anyway?
That’s right - VN is in there,
since we here at Arrival Studios we have gathered talents from all over this wondrous world to collaborate and develop Visual Novels!

Anyways, let’s move past all that silliness.

Today we have had fantastic news, and therefore are able to create this blog for you all.
Here
at Arrival Studios, we have finally gotten our act together, and figured out exactly what we need to be doing, so without further ado I’d like to introduce to you dear readers some information on one of our current projects:

Saint Nicolae’s Academy For The Exceptionally Gifted

I know, I know, long title, but well worth it.
To get us started off, we figured we’d try one of those traditional
high school based Visual Novels.
We’re just doing it with a bit of a twist...
A snippet:
“A long time ago, a man named Nicolae founded a one-classroom boarding school called “St. Nicolae’s Academy For The Exceptionally Gifted”. It is important to point out that Nicolae is in no way a true saint, but is rather a title he bestowed upon himself. He stated that he would only accept the most gifted of students, and while many applied, only one or two were ever accepted each year. Those select few and their talents could not be denied, and over the years, St. Nic’s, as it is now commonly referred to, has expanded into a fully fledged, fairly respected academy.
St. Nic’s still retains i’s low acceptance rate and devotion to quality students. Still there is something off about the attendees. Enter our brave
main character, Rio. Arriving at the academy to complete his senior year, Rio immediately notices that something is off about his classmates and teachers. His roommate, for example, opens doors without moving a muscle, and often enough floats apples across the room so he doesn’t have to get up for a light snack.”

We have five romanceable
heroines, complete with good, bad, and neutral endings, and each one as diverse as the students and other characters you will meet.

We hope this gives you enough insight to pique your curiosity, and we look forward to updating this blog regularly and with plenty of information. Thank you for taking time to read this and we hope you enjoy!
